What a research roundup is

A research roundup is a ranked list built from published information: manufacturer specs, certification listings and a tool-based analysis of verified buyer reviews. The tool groups reviews by topic and counts how many raise each one. We compare the results and write down what we found.

Every roundup rests on that research and on verified buyer reviews. We do no hands-on testing.

How we choose products

• We start with what the product is rated to do and what it costs to keep running.
• We look hardest at the complaint topics in the review analysis, because that is where the real problems show up.
• Products with a repeated failure pattern rank lower, and the page says why.
• We rank on fit and value. Commission rates do not decide the order.
